I had been downloading a version of revolution when a PhD student at Universite Libre de Bruxellles. Because I was trying the education version, I had specified my university. That University never purchased any Revolution License. I purchased one later for my personal use. I have long stopped to be a Revolution user. As the latest blog posts prove, I would NOT recommend runrev to anybody.
They have listed that unviversity for a few years. The typo has been there all the time. First time I noticed it was at a time runrev was little known. It is unlikely that anybody else but me downloaded runrev at ULB in 2003.
In other word, it looks like this list has been created by accumulating any University name ever mentioned in a trial version of Runtime Revolution. It looks like this doesn't list actual customers. Not even past customers.
As Kevin Miller, CEO of Runtime Revolution Ltd wrote on his mailing list "Without bold
headlines and "best case" claims we simply don't get covered, we're not interesting or newsworthy. "
I sincerely wish that there hunger for fame will have the consequences that they deserve. To be made accountable for their practices.
